Day 1
I'm setting myself a daily writing challenge to write...anything. Daily. That's not complicated, yes?
Some days, I might write about what's going on in my life. Other times, I might follow a prompt. Or maybe I'll just write pure nonsense. The point of this exercise is to get my fingers moving and my words flowing once again.
The goal here is to keep this private, to not share this with anyone (yet?) because at some point, I've gone from honest sharing to feeling self-conscious about what I put out there for people to read. I started thinking about the people reading my previous blog and what they might think of this or that and that awareness made me censor myself. Self-censorship is, of course, not conducive to creativity. So here I am, trying again.
Should I introduce myself? No. Let's not do that. What needs to be said about me for the purpose of this blog will be said in due course. For now, all that needs to be said is that I used to write and now I do not. I like to write and I want to write, so here I am.
